Empire Turntable - Completed

Here is my completed Empire Turntable.
This started out about a month ago as an Empire 208 turntable.
Details of the project are in the pages I have linked to below.

As a summary, I am using a dynavector 10X5 cartridge, and Rega RB-250 arm, modded as described in a link below. Arm is mounted with a Pete Riggle VTAF. The platter, bearings and motor are from the Empire. Plinth was made of two corian pieces glued together, with a part of a third piece, to raise the tonearm.

Thanks to Larry at Hollywood sound for giving me the idea for the corian plinth with all thread legs.

Sounds good right now, but I think it needs a little break in still. I was spinning some of my old records, and was surprised how good they sound, but it was a little fatiguing right now. But, most of the things are new, and I just put in new tubes in my amp, so everything needs a little more time

Also, I was listening to it through my HT processor, only phono stage I had. Next step is to build a good phono stage.

I am now using am AMC 1030 for the phono stage, as it is the only preamp I had with a phono. Should have my hagerman cornet finished pretty soon.
